The most embarrass experience

Yesterday I went to the field trip with my boyfriend. When we finish our lunch, we went to Macy’s. My boyfriend bought me a very beautiful gift. Our mentors and a friend also went with us. When we hang out in front of a door of a feminine store named Victoria’s Secret. Our mentors asked us to enter this shop. My boyfriend and a other boy who came with us feel very wired and countless embarrass. At first, both of the two boys didn’t want to visit this shop. However, they were persuaded by our mentors. There are a plenty of beautiful and sexy under wears. However, I felt a little strange feeling when I visited this shop with boys. A very serious and rare emotion I can’t name. Then our mentor asked me whether I was willing to wear this kind of clothing in front of my boyfriend. I just felt speechless and want to hide to somewhere. However mentor said she was very willing to show his boyfriend her body and we are in America, we should be more open. However, Chinese style education has conferred my notion and life principles. In that case, it is hard to adapt to some American life styles.

  1. This is a very unusual situation. A lot of Americans are not that open, so the people you were with must be unusual people. I would be really embarrassed if that happened to me, too! I'm sorry someone was that rude to you.

  2. I just want to know who your mentor is. Based on my experience in America, I do not think Americans are not open usually. This is so embarrassing if it happened to me.

  3. Ummmm...Crystal and Holly are being nice. Your mentor was WAY out of line. No, you do NOT need to be "open" like Americans are, because that's not how Americans are.

I'm extremely upset that someone in a mentoring position did this to you and your boyfriend. It wasn't funny, it was extremely inappropriate and highly uncalled for.

  5. I was so amazed by your experience. I have no idea about what I am going to do with that situation. I even didn't understand how the "open" is measured. After reading above comments, I learned a little.

  8. Yeah, that was a little strange to people who grew up in a traditional country.
You may be used to it in the future.
